Scottish comedian, actor and singer, on stage since 1895 as a boy of 10. By 1910, he was playing Polonius in "Hamlet." Fyffe wrote sketches for Harry Lauder, but after being rejected, performed them himself. Popular in the music halls of London since 1916, he reached the top at the Palladium by 1921 and gave four Royal Variety Performances from 1922. Fyffe's film debut began in 1930.
