German physician who was one of the first to use the clay in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe for health treatment baths. He also dealt with the "Homburger diet" and promoted its implementation. For his treatment of King Chulalongkorn of Siam, he received an honorarium of 30,000 marks from Bangkok in 1907, and the title of medical council from Berlin. Werner von Noorden's two-year-older brother was Carl von Noorden, a well-known German internist and diabetologist. Werner von Noorden was killed two days before the end of the Second World War, on 6 May 1945, by a Red Army soldier on the island of Rügen. Link to Wikipedia biography (German)
