Victoria Tennant

British actor, noted family member and spouse, she is the daughter of prima ballerina Irina Baronova and talent agent Cecil Tennant, goddaughter of Laurence Olivier and former wife of actor Steve Martin. Her father died in 1967. Two years later, 1969, she married for the first time to Peppo Vanini. After graduation from London's Central School of Speech and Drama, she landed a role in the 1972 dramatic film The Ragman's Daughter. She performed on stage until she arrived in Hollywood in the 1980s, some years after divorcing Vanini in 1976 and marrying Matthew Chapman in 1978. In 1983, she had a role in Chapman's movie Stranger's Kiss. It was her performance in the made-for-TV miniseries The Winds of War that put her on the Hollywood map, earning her a Golden Globe nomination. She reprised her role in the series sequel in 1988. She met her third husband, comedian Steve Martin, in 1984 on the set of All of Me. They married on 20 November 1986 and made another film together, in 1991, L.A.Story. They divorced in 1994 and on 4 March 1996 she married Kirk Stambler, a lawyer for Warner Bros. They have a daughter, Katya Irina, and a son, Nikolai.
