Dutch film actress of the silent era who appeared in 24 films between 1915 and 1935. She began her career at the end of the nineteenth century as an actress in the theatre company of Eduard Verkade. While a member of Cor Ruys' company she toured the then Dutch East Indies. In 1915, she debuted as a movie actress in "Koningin Elisabeth's dochter" (Queen Elizabeth's daughter). Later she starred in films by Filmfabriek Hollandia director Maurits Binger. In the 1930s she was director of the theatre company De Narren (English: The Jesters), which staged plays for children. She died on 2 December 1938, aged 62, in The Hague, after an illness of about eighteen months. Link to Wikipedia biography
