American figure skater who earned many medals from 1978 with partner Judy Blumberg. A lanky 5'10", Seibert was a shining example of the precision and skill needed for ice-dance, and the couple was the American hope for the 1984 Olympics. Seibert grew up in Washington, Pa., where his father was a high school principal. He had been skating since the first grade, but didn't take formal lessons until he was 13, when he was thought to be too old for individual competition. He moved with his mother to Ohio, Connecticut, Indiana and finally to California during his high school years. He met partner Judy Blumberg at the National Figure Skating Championships in Hartford in 1977. They teamed up a year and a half later. After placing seventh at the 1980 Olympics, they went on in 1981 to win the first of their three national titles. Link to Wikipedia biography
