Italian saint, beatified along with his wife in November 2001, the first time in church history that a man and his wife were given that honor together, as exemplars of the Christian life. He was the son of Carlo and Francesca Quattrocchi. He and his wife had four children, three of whom entered religious life. The couple opened their home to refugees during WWII at great risk to the family. He died on November 9, 1951 of a heart attack.
