Hasta: The Hand (Virgo 10 00’ to 23 20’). Hasta is formed by five stars (fingers) in the constellation of Corvus, the crow.

This is the 13th nakshatra of the zodiac, ruled by Moon. Hastha spans from 10°-0' to 23°-20' in Virgo. The word Hastha means 'hand(grasp) and the symbol is palm of hand. The primary deity is Savitar, the creative form of the Sun God, who promotes creativity. He is called “the golden handed one”. The shakti of Hasta is “the power to manifest what one seeks and place it in their hands”. Hasta natives can have great dexterity and are skilled with the healing arts, and with handicrafts.
