Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin from 1837 to 1842, who was the son of Hereditary Grand Duke Friedrich Ludwig of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Grand Duchess Elena Pavlovna of Russia. He married Princess Alexandrine of Prussia at Berlin on 25 May 1822. They had two sons and four daughters. Paul Friedrich also had four children with his mistress, Countess Catarina Hauke. Paul Friedrich died on 7 March 1842, aged 41, in Schwerin, from a cold caught while rushing to a fire in his capital city. Link to Wikipedia biography
