Grand Duchess of Russia, nicknamed "Lili", as the second child and daughter of Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich of Russia and Princess Charlotte of Württemberg who took the name Elena Pavlovna upon her conversion to the Orthodox faith. Through her father, Elizabeta (Elizabeth) was a granddaughter of Tsar Paul I of Russia, and a niece of both Russian emperors Alexander I and Nicholas I. She married Adolf, Duke of Nassau on 31 January 1844 in St. Petersburg. Elizabeta gave birth to a daughter at 2pm on 27 January 1845, who did not survive. Elizabeta died the next day between 5 and 6 o'clock in the morning in Wiesbaden, Duchy of Nassau. She was aged 18. Link to Wikipedia biography
