Dutch actor. He was born in The Hague. From 1970 to 1972 he studied photography and graphic design at the Kunstacademie in Enschede, followed by two years of Kleinkunstacademie in Amsterdam, getting a broad higher education to performing artists. He could debut as a stage actor in Thuis of Hugo Claus, after meeting Claus and Sylvia Kristel in the train. His first movie was Blindgangers of Ate de Jong (1977). He had roles in Soldaat van Oranje, Kort Amerikaans (Guido Pieters, 1979), Bastille (Rudolf van den Berg, 1984) en De aanslag (The Assault by Fons Rademakers, 1986), the first Dutch movie that won an Oscar. He starred in The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Mascara and Stealing Heaven. He was seen in the tv-series Poltergeist: The Legacy (1996 to 1999) , The L Word, Into the West, NCIS, Alias, NYPD Blue, China Beach and Silent Witness. He was often chosen for roles as the sensual introverted man. But because of his Dutch accent, he was never asked to play an American movie hero. Personal Like the Dutch actor Rutger Hauer, De Lint had some success in the USA, but he did not want to move to the West coast. In 1979 De Lint married the interior designer and art director Dorith Jesserun. They got three sons. He wanted to raise the children in Amsterdam. In the nineteens they moved to Vancouver, for his role in the tv-series Poltergeist, but later the family returned to Amsterdam. His son Jerome de Lint (5 December 1979) became a freelance photographer. After finishing High School in Vancouver, Canada in 1998 he attended 1 year at Digital Media Arts in Vancouver after which he moved back to his hometown Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Here he attended the Foto Academie from 2001 - 2005. Mick de Lint (18 December 1981, Amsterdam) became an actor. He had a role in the movie Prime (2005), Onderweg naar morgen (1994) and Sonny Boy (2011). His son Oscar de Lint was born in 1987. Link to Wikipedia
