Clorinda Malaga Prado

Peruvian socialite, second wife of former Peruvian President Manuel Prado y Ugarteche. She served as First Lady of the Nation from 1958 to 1962. Daughter of the wealthy mining entrepreneur and former minister of state, Fermín Málaga Santolalla, and Clorinda Bravo Bresani. She was educated at the exclusive Sacred Heart School Sophianum of Lima and Paris, where she met Manuel Prado y Ugarteche, son of the president Mariano Ignacio Prado, who was married with Enriqueta Garland Higginson, who had two sons. Manuel Prado assumed the Presidency of the Republic in 1939, and his wife assumed the title of First Lady.
