American collegiiate and professional American football quarterback who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams (1959-1960), Dallas Cowboys (1961), and the St. Louis Cardinals (1963-1965), and in the American Football League for the Houston Oilers (1966). Humphrey played college football at Baylor University and was drafted in the second round of the 1959 NFL Draft. After his professional football career was over, Humphrey had a very successful career as a high school football coach and educator. He died on 21 April 1988, aged 52, in Gregg County, Texas.
