The Word Bharani means 'bearing children' and the symbol is vulva, a downward triangle. Bharani is ruled by Yama, the God of Death. This is the second nakshatra of the zodiac ranging from13⁰-20′ to 26⁰-40′. According to Atharva Veda, Bharani is the final nakshatra listed, revealing its connection with the end of life.
