British Conservative politician, who served as Prime Minister from 19 October 1963 to 16 October 1964. He was diplomatically skillful and forthright with a distaste for political intrigue. He was also known by the courtesy title Lord Dunglass. In 1936 Dunglass married Elizabeth Alington; her father, Cyril Alington, had been Dunglass's headmaster at Eton, and was from 1933 Dean of Durham. There were four children of the marriage: Caroline, Meriel, Diana and David. He died on 9 October 1995, aged 92, at The Hirsel, Coldstream, Scotland. Link to Wikipedia biography
