Robert Currey

British pro astrologer and founder of Equinox in 1981, from which charts may be ordered through the Internet. The range of Equinox charts include the Character Portrait, the Year Forecast, the Child Profile, the Compatibility Profile and the Birth Chart Wheel. Robert writes the text and software for the interpretations. He holds a degree in Psychology, a diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies and is a Certified Astro*Carto*Graphy practitioner. Having run the Astrology Shop in Covent Garden for ten years, Robert moved away from London to work as an astrological consultant, writer and programmer based in the Isle of Man in 2000. He and his partner Karen Chiarello (an American astrologer) live in the Fairy Glen in a former mill. He is a trustee of the Urania Trust and spends a lot of time traveling and exhibiting at shows in the UK, Ireland, Australia and North America. Currey has been consulted on and appeared in various televised documentaries which feature astrology. These include Strictly Supernatural for the Discovery Channel, The New Age for Channel 4 and Solar Empire for Discovery TV. He has appeared in the media as an astrological spokesman concerning several points of controversy, including time twins, precession of the Zodiac/13th sign confusion, and on BBC Newsnight to respond to Richard Dawkins. Currey has also acted as a trustee of the Urania Trust, a registered astrological charity. In 2016, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award at the 26th International Conference organized by the Institute of Vedic Culture and Krishnamurti Institute of Astrology, Kolkata, India.
