Norwegian art historian, writer, and museum director. She was particularly known as a Gustav Vigeland connoisseur and for her contribution to the development of the art collections of the city of Oslo. Her father was Jens Thiis (12 May 1870 – 27 June 1942), a Norwegian art historian, conservator, and prominent museum director. She was the mother of legal scholar and Professor of Law, Tove Stang Dahl. Travelling in a car from Nairobi to Mombasa, Kenya, Stang died in a collision, together with her daughter Nina, on 29 March 1978, aged 68. Link to Wikipedia biography
