Prince of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach as the eldest son of Prince Hermann of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and Princess Augusta of Württemberg. Prince Wilhelm was rebellious in his youth. He fled to the United States, served as a riding master, clerk, book agent and even as a restaurant waiter in New York City, but was finally persuaded to return to Germany, marry his second cousin, and live on a small pension from the head of the house. He married Gerta Princess of Ysenburg and Büdingen (1863-1945) and had three children. Prince Wilhelm died on 15 December 1924, aged 70, in Baden-Baden, German Empire. Link to Wikipedia biography
