Certified astrologer of the DGVA, chairwoman of oeav (Austrian Astrologers' Association) and headed her School for Astrology Astromatis. Mathis studied social sciences and economics in Vienna, and subsequently worked as a tax consultant. Since she had been interested in astrology since she was fourteen years old, she simultaneously completed an education in classical astrology and supplemented her studies in the psychological and esoteric field. Subsequently, she opened an astrological practice under the registered trademark AstroConsulting in Baden near Vienna. As a graduate WIFI trainer at the St. Pölten Institute for Economic Development, she also led an astrology course. She was also a life and social consultant and management consultant. On 22 October 2002, together with colleagues, she founded the Austrian Astrologers' Association (oeav), which she held its first presidency from 1 March 2003 until her death. At the Chamber of Commerce for Lower Austria she was the spokeswoman for astrology. She was also a member of the AAGB and the ISAR, a board member of the umbrella association of German-speaking astrologers' associations (VDA), and a scientific advisor to SAE Hannover. Last but not least, she wrote astrological books and articles and was a speaker at international congresses. Mathis was married and had four children. She died after a brief serious illness on 8.3.2017.
