Dutch singer, stage actress and television personality. She was born in Bandung, Indonesia. She spent the first years of her youth separated from her father, as women and children were separated from men in the Japanese POW concentration camps. She became popular during the 1960s and frequently collaborated with Ramses Shaffy. She also sang Jacques Brel's chansons in Dutch translation. With her younger husband Robert Braaksma (ca 1950-2014), she had a daughter, Elisah, in 1982 at age 41. Link to Wikipedia biography
