Life Story

Story of person and major life events assoicated with this Kundali

French artist who created pointillism, a style that involved painting dots and dashes rather than brush strokes. At the time of his death, most of his work was unsold. Two of his sketches were exhibited at the Salon in 1883, but his first great painting, "La Baignade," in1883, was rejected. Upon an exhibit in Chicago, his work was defended by Felix Feneon, who called it neo-impressionist, a name thereafter applied to Seurat and Signac. An outstanding example of his style is "La Grande Jotte," 1886, and a portrait of his mistress, Madeleine Knobloch was released in 1890. Seurat died on 3/29/1891, Paris, France.
