American left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played for the Montreal Expos (1991–1992), Kansas City Royals (1992–1998), Chicago Cubs (1998), Cleveland Indians (1999–2000) and Boston Red Sox (2002). He also played in Japan for the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks (2001). He is the son of Larry Haney, a major league catcher with five teams and coach of the Milwaukee Brewers. Chris Haney was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers organization in the free-agent draft pick on 2 June 1987: not signing with them, he attended the Univ. of N.C. in Charlotte and was selected by the Montreal Expos in the second round of free-agent draft pick on 4 June 1990. He played for the Kansas City Royals, 29 August 1992, after the Expos, placed on the disabled list three times with rehabilitation done in the AAA League. Link to Wikipedia biography
