American football punter who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Chicago Bears (1987–1988), Cleveland Browns (1989–1990), New England Patriots (1991, 1995), Green Bay Packers (1992–1993) and San Diego Chargers (1994). As a member of the 1995 San Diego Chargers team, Wagner set a Super Bowl record by averaging 48.8 yards a punt. He married Cleveland TV news anchor and personality Robin Swoboda in 1991; they divorced in 2015.
