Mexican politician who took part in the Mexican Revolution as an opponent of Porfirio Díaz, supporting Francisco I. Madero and Emiliano Zapata. He was killed at his home in Puebla, along with part of his family, by the federal army, who discovered his involvement in Madero's movement. He was the first martyr of the revolution. The northern municipality of Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, was renamed in his honour in 1932; he is also remembered by Metro Aquiles Serdán, a station on the Mexico City Metro. His house is now located in Puebla, Puebla and is open as a museum and everything is as he left it when he was killed. Link to Wikipedia
