She is heiress to much of the fortune of her maternal grandfather, Paul Rosenberg. Anne Sinclair was previously married to French journalist Ivan Levaï with whom she has two sons. She separated from her second husband, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, ex-managing director of the International Monetary Fund, in August 2012. The couple Strauss-Kahn divorced in March 2013.
