Italian-American noted family, the daughter of Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini, the second-born of fraternal twin daughters. She and her twin sister, Isabella , were a husky pair, weighing in at 8 lbs 5 oz. and 7 lbs 3 oz. They grew up with their brother Robertino and four half-siblings. Without much resemblance, the twins apparently are quite different as Isotta, who later went by her middle name, Ingrid, made no approach to show biz but went for her doctorate, earning a Ph.D. in Italian literature, 1992. She has taught Italian at Princeton and Columbia Universities and wrote a book about the poet, Petrarch. She has made two marriages with a son, Tomasso, in 1979 and a daughter, Francesca in 1990 with her second husband, Richard Aborn. Link to Wikipedia biography
